United Check Cashing has teamed up with MoneyGram International to award minimum cash grants of $1,500 to at least five outstanding, college-bound high school seniors for use toward their freshman year of study at an accredited college or university. Each student will be selected from various geographic regions nationally based on demonstrated leadership skills in school and local community activities, financial need and academic achievement.

United Check Cashing and MoneyGram International believe that education is the key to America’s future and that everyone, regardless of race, ethnic background or economic status should have equal access to higher education opportunities. Scholarships will help to unlock brighter futures for deserving and dedicated students.

This scholarship is only offered to college-bound high school seniors. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, nationals or permanent residents to qualify. Applications will not be accepted from candidates already in college, employees or relatives of employees, officers or owners of United Check Cashing centers, United Financial Services Group, Inc. or MoneyGram International.
